Jake's first track from Montreal, the next recording with his home studio that he brought with him from the UK along with a guitar, some clothes and family photographs
A well-traveled troubadour with a gift for storytelling, Jake Morgan is carrying the torch of British folk for a new generation.
The singer-songwriter first attracted attention for his 2018 debut 'Raw Material,' which showcased his gruff, world-weary voice and bittersweet lyricism. He went on to expand his sonic palette on 2020's 'From The Ground Up,' incorporating electric guitars and subtle percussion while maintaining the intimacy of his early work.
Since then, he has been in a state of constant musical growth, following in the footsteps of Bob Dylan and Richie Havens while carving his own path. In addition to being a mainstay of the UK folk-revival scene, his touring has taken him across Europe and as far as Australia and Thailand as he continues to share his humble, deeply moving songs with an ever-growing fanbase.
